Saving for a first home deposit can be a challenge, especially when the average deposit is over £60k! That’s why we’re hosting this exciting competition to help share the best tips on saving for a deposit.

With Shared Ownership, you don’t need to save up a massive deposit. But regardless of the route you choose, when it comes to saving for a house, every penny counts! 

Share your best money-saving tips that can make a big difference when saving for a deposit. Whether it’s setting up automatic savings pots using online banks like Monzo or cutting down on food deliveries and getting into meal prep, share your valuable insights for a chance to win a £150 Amazon voucher!

How to enter

To enter, simply comment on our pinned competition post on Instagram or Facebook, telling us your best money saving tip when saving up for a first house deposit. You will also need to like the pinned post, tag a friend, and make sure you are following us on either Instagram or Facebook.

You have until midnight on 25th July to enter and then we will randomly select and announce a winner the following day. Good luck!

Instagram and Facebook Competition Terms & Conditions

• The competition opens on Tuesday 4th July and entries close Tuesday 25th July. 
• The winner will be randomly selected and announced on Tuesday 26th July. 
• There will be 1 competition winner, chosen at random from all eligible comments from the competition Instagram and Facebook post.
• To enter the competition, comments must share a money saving tip that is relevant to saving for a house deposit in the UK.
• Post comments which do not follow this criteria will be disqualified by St Arthur Homes. St Arthur Homes also have the right to remove comments at their discretion.  
• You can share multiple tips per comment, and you can comment more than once, but only one entry will be recorded per profile/account.
• Automated or bulk entries by third parties will be disqualified. 
• The winner will be contacted by direct message on Instagram or Facebook and will be asked to provide contact details to claim their prize.
• If the winner has not responded within 24 hours, St Arthur Homes have the right to choose another winner at random.
• Your tip/s and comment/s may be used in marketing material for St Arthur Homes and by entering this competition you agree to have your tip/s shared and first name or social handle included in any material.
• Open to UK residents only. 
• You must be aged over 18 to enter.
