The Story of St. Arthur Homes
There is a story to tell behind every great business, both small enterprises and large multinationals.
Each business starts with an idea, often appearing from a recognised gap in the market or an emerging trend. It is with these ideas that brand names are formed, each with a unique mission for their customers. Here, in celebration of National Storytelling Week running from the 30th January to the 6th February, we are sharing our own unique story.
St. Arthur Homes is an industry specialist within the Shared Ownership sector and we have a presence across London, the Home Counties and the South of England, with a goal of helping as many first-time buyers as possible to get on the property ladder. Shared Ownership allows buyers to buy a share of a new property and then purchase extra shares as and when they can afford to do so, until they own 100% of their home. As a member of the Wayfarer consortium, the location, interior specification and square footage of every home we acquire is crucial to our business. This ensures we stay ahead of our competitors and our homes are built to the highest of standards, matching the qualities often found in private sale homes.
After a successful link up with a new partner in March 2019, St. Arthur’s mission to provide widely accessible, affordable housing accelerated. Our CEO, comments: “Shared Ownership is a fantastic way for first time buyers to get on the property ladder, something that St. Arthur Homes is very passionate about. After recognising an increased demand for affordable housing, particularly in the South of England, we have made a commitment to provide more affordable homes than ever before and fulfil our aim of delivering 2,000 new homes within the next five years; whilst simultaneously offering an exciting opportunity for people to be able to afford to buy their first home.”
From March 2020, we have grown our dynamic workforce, employing six new senior members of staff with plans to make an even stronger team within the next year. Each team member plays a vital role in our operations, most notably maintaining the outstanding relationships we have built with our customers, local authorities and property developers. We pride ourselves on ensuring our buyers receive the right support and guidance from the first moment they register their interest until the moment they move into their lovely St. Arthur Home.
Since our first partnership with Inland Homes, we have had the opportunity to work alongside some excellent housebuilders, including Crest Nicholson, Consero London and Runnymede Homes.
