It’s that time of the year again – Movember. Over the coming month, you will begin to notice an increase in the amount of men sporting ever-growing facial hair, in particular, moustaches. It is a well-known fact that male physical and mental health can go unchecked for long periods of time. Movember is an annual, month-long charity initiative in which men for-go shaving and grow moustaches, with the aim of raising both awareness and fund for male health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health battles. The Movember foundation also aim to change the healthcare that is accessible to men, having already funded over 1,250 global projects.
This year, our CEO Richard is taking on the challenge. He comments: “I am aiming to raise as much money and awareness as I can to support men’s health and the Movember foundation. Like many other organisations and businesses this year, Charities have also suffered and need all of the support they can get. The lockdown period has also cemented to me how important male mental health and wellbeing really is. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a massive difference.”
The St Arthur Homes team are incredibly proud of Rich and the fellow ‘Mo Bros’ that are taking part. So far, he has raised an astonishing £960. If you would like to donate and help us achieve our target of £2,500, you can do so here.
